Zero or very low water flow through your chlorinator cell. Ensure your filter pump basket under the clear lid is full of water and the pump is running. Check all leaf baskets are clean, clean your cartridge filter or backwash your sand filter.
Salinity level should be maintained between 3,500 and 4,000 ppm.
From Spring through to Autumn your chlorinator should operate a minimum of 8 hours a day. If pool is heavily used, choose 10 to 12 hours a day.
On most pools your pH and chlorine sensors will last 2 years but this depends on the operating hours, water chemistry, dissolved metals and other factors.
If installed in full sunlight, replace every 1 to 2 years. If installed under cover and using diluted acid, every 2 years is a safe interval.
Yes, a dilution ratio of 1 parts acid to 2 or 3 parts water is recommended. This prevents your Total Alkalinity dropping too quickly and in much gentler on your acid delivery tubes and pool surface. Always follow detailed instructions when handling acid.
In general, if the filter is sized correctly, clean it once a month. If building and landscaping works are being carried out around your pool, you may need to clean every day or two while these works continue.
